THE GREAT MOTHER HEALER SEKHMET tells us that we can use everything natural to heal. That is the origin of wholistic healing to use natural tools (crystals, herbs, oils, food, music, sound, etc) to bring about balance and harmony within ones spiritual, physical, mental, and emotional bodies. We also use colors, candles, symbols, focus, concentration and intent to assist in affecting the senses to bring balance as well.
Here are some of my favorite healing tools which I use with my family and clients.
Our Ancestors wore jewelry made of crystals and gemstones for the power and energy they hold. Each stone is created with some of the same elements that is within our own body temple and therefore can affect our energy, emotional, mental, physical and spiritual bodies. These Ancient healing tools can be used for cleansing, stimulating, balancing, bringing clarity and positive energy, assisting with spiritual connection, and so much more.
There is a world of healing crystals available to use in healing. It is helpful to place stones on imbalanced aritu (charkras), areas which need more attention or create a grid around the recipient to enhance a healing session. Listed are some of the most commonly used stones and some of their properties.
CLEAR QUARTZ is called the most powerful healing stone and energy amplifier. It brings clarity, cleans and enhances the organs and acts as a deep soul cleanser. It can raise energy to a higher level and keep things positive.
AMYTHEST has strong healing and cleansing power. It enhances spiritual awareness. It works well with upper aritu and will balance physical, mental, emotional bodies while linking them to the spiritual. It is good to clean ones aura.
CITRINE is another powerful cleanser and regenerator. It carries the power of the sun so it is warming and energizing. It absorbs, transmutes, dissipates and grounds negative energy. It is good to clean the aritu.
ROSE QUARTZ is known as “the love stone”. It radiates unconditional love, forgiveness, and infinite peace. It works well with the heart arit and purifies the heart on all levels. It is calming, soothing, reassuring and helpful in trauma or crisis.
BLOODSTONE is good for cleaning the blood and balancing blood pressure. It is known as one of Sekhmet’s stones.
PENDULUMS are very special tools. My favorite story about the pendulum is about a time when I went walking in the woods with my youth. I was on family land and because I had walked the land often when I was younger, I was sure I would know how to get home. We walked for hours and I realized I did not know my way home. I looked up for guidance and realized the only thing I had in my medicine bag that could help was my pendulum. I was not very experienced with it but I had to give it a try. I asked for it to show me the way home and it begin to swing we started walking in the direction it swung in. I would hold it up every now and then to see it it changed and we continued to follow it until it took me to the creek, a place I could get home from. My family was so happy to see us, we had been out for a while.... I have loved my pendulum since then.
THE PENDULUM VIBE
Use of the pendulum is an ancient technique based on dowsing ( to use a forked stick to find the lay lines, or earth energy meridians, to find water or proper sites for building towns).
The pendulum teaches us how to sense or tune in to the subtle energy fields that surround us.
The pendulum works by allowing invisible energetic signals to be converted into visible movement through the response of the pendulum.
Today it is useful to help us make decisions and consult Higher guidance in our everyday lives.
Hold the pendulum with the pointed end down, with the thumb and forefinger of your right hand (for incoming information & energy).
Hold your hand still, trust the pendulum to move all by itself.
Take four deep breaths, relax, and go into a meditative state.
Call upon the Divine light that is indwelling for guidance to give you clear, truthful answers to you question.
Begin by asking the pendulum to show you (+) "yes" & (-) "no". A clockwise movement is usually (+) "yes" and counterclockwise is (-) "no". If the pendulum moves vertical or horizontal it is usually (-) "no". If the pendulum does not move relax and think about what you are asking, try again.
Salvia apiana aka White Sage, salvia comes from the Latin root salvare, which means "to heal."
Sage is burned in smudging ceremonies to drive out bad spirits, feelings, or influences, and also to keep bad spirits from entering the area where a ceremony takes place. I use sage often to calm my children as well as the house. It is also good to use before doing any Spiritual or healing work. It is very easy to use, just light the leaves and place in a non-flammable container. the flame will go out on its on. Use it to clear and purify your aura guiding the smoke around you from head to toe. As you breathe in the sage release the cares of the world and open yourself to connect with your highest self.
A Spiritual Bath is a powerful healing and balancing experience. It cleans the unseen energy that builds up when going around different people. You know the experience of being around someone angry or sad and after talking to them you feel the same way. This energy can penetrate your emotional, mental, and spiritual body as well as your aura. A spiritual bath is one way to balance and purify yourself.
A spiritual bath becomes Spiritual by adding natural elements, your words of power and intent to the water. Some good things to add; sea or epsom salt, crystals, essential oils, herbs, natural coloring, alcohol (rum or gin), florida or rose water, flowers, fruit, milk, etc.... Choose crystal, herbs and colors based on the effect you want to receive. Rain, river, and ocean water are powerful additions to spiritual baths too.
It can be made one of two ways :
1. you can add the ingredients to a tub of water, soak and immerse yourself in the bath while meditating, chanting or praying, on your purpose for the bath
2. you can add the ingredients to a vessel of water it should be made of natural material like glass, wood, ceramic, or calabash. While adding the ingredients meditate, pray and chant your purpose for the bath while mixing the bath with your hands. Wash yourself physically first then pour spiritual bath mixture over you with a smaller natural vessel.
After the bath it is good to dress in white and stay in a meditative state, just relax. You may record any thoughts that come to you.
